This is a new state blog for Florida's House of Representatives designed to keep an eye on the activities of the Republicans who misrepresent us in Tallahassee. If you are interested in posting at Florida House Watch, drop me a line at quinnelk@hotmail.com with some idea of your Democratic and/or progressive credentials and I'll add you as a blogger.

He's a good man who articulates passionately for the GOP. He's been a great political director of our Pompano GOP club. You Democrats should appreciate passion. Calling us crazy doesn't get you any points.
Passion mixed with dishonesty is never a good thing. He's either openly lying in this clip or he's crazy. Neither of those is a good thing. I'm not trying to score points, I'm trying to call out the type of crazy misguided rhetoric that's gotten us into so many of the bad situations the country is in at this moment.
You disagree with him = he's crazy.
Wow, no wonder people are waking up to what Democrats really are.
Yet another ridiculous comment. Saying "Republican policies work every single time" is crazy. It's not simply a matter of disagreement, it's flat-out, demonstrably and without any possibility of legitimate disagreement a false statement. Anyone, with even half a brain, knows this statement isn't true. In fact, it seems obvious with all that's screwed up in the country right now that Republican policies probably fail more often than they work.
As for your "people waking up to the Democrats" comment, it's always ponderous to me to see people who live in a world separate from the one the rest of us are in. Democrats hold the White House, Congress, the majority of state legislatures and legislative seats and governorships and they won't be losing the majority on any of those in 2010, despite the fact that the party of the president always declines in off-year elections. And as the economy continues to improve and all the ridiculous Republican claims about apocalypse fail to materialize, Democrats will be even more popular.
That's why I said they're waking up now. We'll see the results of next month's races. I hope you're right about the economy but I don't think you are.
My remark about the economy is also demonstrably true. The DOW, which traditionally Republicans have seen as the be-all, end-all of the economy just hit 10k again and job losses are slowing down and will soon reverse.
